The Challenge
Adelaide Motor Garage is an independent workshop in Windsor Gardens looking after every make and model. There were two separate problems to solve. Online, the business had a single page, so someone searching for a specific job like logbook servicing or a pre-purchase inspection had nothing to land on. Behind the counter, the workshop was running on third-party software that cost money every month and still did not do everything the way they needed it done.
What We Did
- Built the workshop a proper website, then grew it from one page to six with a dedicated page for each core job
- Wrote and structured pages for logbook servicing, car air conditioning, pre-purchase inspections, brake repairs and diagnostics, each one able to rank on its own
- Added structured data across the site so Google can read the services, the location, the opening hours and the FAQs
- Put a real booking form on the site that does not just fire off an email, it writes the job straight into the workshop system
- Set up analytics so the workshop can see what people actually search for before they book
- Then built them their own custom workshop management system from the ground up
The Results
The workshop now has a site that answers the specific question a customer typed in, instead of one page trying to cover everything at once. Bookings taken on the website land directly in the diary, so nothing gets rekeyed or lost between the phone and the workshop floor.
The Workshop App
This is the part we are proudest of. Adelaide Motor Garage now runs on software built for them specifically, replacing the off-the-shelf system they were renting.
A booking comes in from the website or straight into the diary, then becomes a job card. The mechanic picks it up on his phone, starts the job, takes photos as he works and marks it finished. The office gets an email the moment a job is done. The invoice then goes out with an itemised tax invoice PDF attached, generated automatically. Customers, vehicles, parts, suppliers, quotes, payments and staff timesheets all live in the one system. Their existing job history came across with them too, so nothing had to start from zero.
It installs on a phone like a normal app, runs in the cloud so it works from anywhere and it belongs to the business instead of being rented month to month.
