The Challenge
Computer Servicing has been going since 2006, which in this industry is close to unheard of. Twenty years of Adelaide computer repairs. In that time the business had grown a second, much more serious side to it: cyber security incident response. Hacked accounts, scams, data breaches, the calls people make on the worst day of their working year.
The problem was that the website only really told you about the first half. Someone whose business had just been breached had no way of knowing this was a firm that handles exactly that, holds a Network Partner position in the ASD Cyber Security Partnership Program and works to Australian Cyber Security Centre guidance. Two decades of credibility, largely invisible.
What We Did
- Rebuilt the site around both halves of the business, with cyber security given its own space at the top of the navigation rather than buried as an afterthought
- Put the credentials where they cannot be missed: 20 years Australian owned, ASD Cyber Security Partnership Program network partner, Australian Information Security Association membership, ACSC-aligned remediation
- Published real fixed pricing, because the thing people fear most about calling a computer place is not knowing what it will cost
- Built a Learn section plus a free cyber safety course, so the site teaches rather than just sells. For a security business that is the proof of expertise
- Designed the hero around a live diagnostic readout instead of a stock photo of someone smiling at a laptop, which suits a business whose whole pitch is that they actually do the work
- Carried the plain-English promise through the whole site, matching how they actually talk: no jargon, we fix what others only advise on
- Set up the site to make the phone ring, with the number in the header, a complimentary tech check-up offer and a sticky call button on mobile
The Results
Computer Servicing now has a site that matches the business behind it. A private client with a broken laptop finds the repair side and a fixed price. A business that has just been breached finds an accredited incident response team with two decades of history. Same site, two very different visitors, both getting to the right place quickly.
The relationship has kept going past launch. We now do work through them for their own clients, which is about the strongest endorsement an IT firm can give.
